Head Coaches:

Kevin McMahon – OWNER / Head Coach

Kevin McMahon is a former elite power tumbler and USA Gymnastics National Team Coach with an impressive and varied career in gymnastics. He began his coaching journey in 1996 in Dubuque before relocating to Clermont, Florida in 2001, where he had the privilege of working alongside 1988 USA Gymnastics Olympic Team Member Brandy Johnson. During his time there, Kevin coached athletes at levels 7-10 and played a pivotal role in developing the elite program, helping athletes earn spots on the Junior Olympic National Team and USA Gymnastics National Team. Under his guidance, athletes also earned gymnastics scholarships to top universities such as Florida, Illinois, Auburn, Michigan, Alabama, and Washington.

In 2006, Kevin moved to Hawaii to launch a new program called Island Tumblers. As the head coach of the Level 8 Hawaii Regional Team, he guided athletes to qualifications at level 9 Western Nationals and level 10 Junior Olympic Nationals. Kevin also helped athletes earn spots on the prestigious TOPs (Talent Opportunity Program) National Team.

Kevin continued his coaching journey in California, working with Chris Waller, the current UCLA Co-Head Coach, 1992 Olympian, and 2004 Olympic Coach. During this time, Kevin mentored athletes who made the TOPs National Team and assisted with UCLA Gymnastics Camps.

In addition to coaching, Kevin has choreographed for numerous gyms across the United States, including multiple gyms in Hawaii each year. His choreography continues to inspire and elevate gymnastics programs nationwide.

Outside of gymnastics, Kevin enjoys hiking, cooking, Crossfit, traveling, and even spent one summer backpacking across Europe.

Kevin returned to Dubuque in 2017 and is passionate about fostering a strong gymnastics presence in the community and surrounding areas. He looks forward to helping the next generation of gymnasts thrive and succeed.

Alanna Callahan - Manager/COACH

Alanna began her career in gymnastics at the age of 3.  She competed in the USAG Gymnastics program and attended Winona State University to compete at the collegiate level.  Alanna also began judging at the age of 16 and later went on to judge level 10 gymnastics and college meets across the country!   She has coached gymnastics through her high school and college years, including time at Chelsea Piers in New York City.  Alanna shares her love of the sport with others through coaching. After college, Alanna became a mother/baby nurse and worked until she had her first child.  She spent time home with her family until All Around Gymnastics moved to Dubuque.  Her family loves being in the gym!  Outside of gymnastics, Alanna enjoys spending time with her husband and 6 children, being outside and traveling.

Deidre Navarro - Xcel and Recreational Coach

Deidre is from Gilbert, Arizona, where she cheered competitively for USA Youth Fitness Center, the same gym that produced Olympic Bronze Medalist Alex Naddour. She thrived as a member of their international co-ed level five team, traveling all the way to the USASF Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, Florida. With over five years of experience coaching gymnastics, tumbling, and cheer, Deidre has achieved great success, including leading two junior level teams to an undefeated record as head coach.

Deidre is passionate about sharing her expertise by coaching and helping others develop their skills and love for the sport. Outside of coaching, she treasures every moment spent with her husband and 4 kids! Deidre is thrilled to have relocated and found a new home at All Around Academy of Gymnastics, where she’s eager to continue making a positive impact.
