Frequently Asked Questions
What should participants wear to gymnastics classes?
Leotards or fitness attire are required.
No loose or baggy clothing for safety and mobility.
No socks or tights during class.
No jewelry or watches (stud earrings are okay).
Hair must be pulled back away from the face. If hair is longer than shoulder length, it should be securely pulled up.
If wearing a leotard with a skirt, please ensure the skirt is detachable, as it may interfere with bar work.
What sets us apart from other sports or gymnastics programs?
In a word: discipline.
Our program is built on a strong foundation of structure, providing the perfect framework to help each student reach their full potential.
Led by Coach Kevin, who has an extensive background in gymnastics education—from being a Kinder Accreditation Teacher (KAT) to guiding gymnasts to compete internationally—we are committed to sharing his wealth of knowledge. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality gymnastics instruction that Dubuque has to offer, ensuring every athlete receives the best training possible.
What are the average class sizes, and what is the teacher-to-participant ratio?
We prioritize maintaining small class sizes to ensure personalized attention and a high-quality experience for every student:
For our Parent-Tot and Preschool Programs, we aim for a ratio of 1 teacher for every 4 students, or 2 teachers for up to 7 students.
In our Gymnastics Program, we maintain a ratio of 1 teacher for up to 8 students, with the possibility of having up to 3 coaches per group.
For Trampoline and Tumbling, we keep the ratio at 1 teacher for up to 7 students.
Our Ninja Program is structured with a 6-to-1 student-to-coach ratio.
Thanks to our spacious floor and an array of mats, we’re able to keep the classes dynamic and ensure that each participant is progressing quickly.
In the rare event that a coach is absent, class sizes may increase slightly, but we’ll always make it a priority to keep them manageable. Additionally, we offer up to one makeup class if a session is full.
